How does Genielux work?
Genielux uses the users current GPS location to find the gear they're looking for. Alternatively, users can type in a Postal Code, Country, Street Address, or City to find the nearest inventory. The app also uses the built-in API on the iPhone for maps and driving directions. The application is free to download and is available on the iTunes App Store. How accurate are the search results?
Very accurate! Genielux features our own proprietary code that identifies model numbers regardless of the format. Whether roman numerals or Arabic numbers, singular or plural, spaces between the words, or run them all together, Genielux will find the correct name and model. This is our proprietary, high-level programming that we've developed for Genielux, which gives us a major edge over traditional search engines.
How much does it cost to place my inventory?
2.00 USD p/month, that's it! This price includes your entire rental and sales inventory too. Whether one piece of gear or several hundred. There are no hidden fees and you can cancel anytime. We also offer featured listings for 6.00 USD p/month, which includes prime placement and a banner ad. You can learn more and determine the best placement for you when you sign up.
What types of companies are allowed to post their inventory to this site?
Any company that provides rentals and sales for the Film, Television and Entertianment industry can post their inventory and contact information. This includes lighting, electrical, sound, video, staging, grip, TV/Film, cameras and anything in between.
Can I list multiple locations?
Yes, once you create an account, you can add as many locations with separate rental and sales inventory for each location, or use the same inventory for all locations.
Do you have plans to port Genielux onto other mobile devices?
Yes, we've already started development on Genielux for Android. We also have plans to release Genielux for Blackberry and Palm. Check back soon for future announcements and availability.
